- Go to your Google profile and copy down the URL for the page.
- Click Edit Profile
- Scroll down to add links and add a link to your Tumblr site and save your profile. (Make sure to tick “This page is specifically about me”)
- Edit your Tumblr template with a custom theme. I defer to the Tumblr help pages for instructions.
- Add in the XFN magic by replacing your
<head>
tag with<head profile="http://gmpg.org/xfn/11">
- Add
<link rel="me" type="text/html" href="http://www.google.com/profiles/your.username"/>
anywhere inside the head tag. (Of course replacing the href with whatever your profile URL is.) After<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS" href="{RSS}"/>
is a good place. - Go to https://sgapi-recrawl.appspot.com/ and force Google to recrawl your Tumblr site.
- Go to Google Buzz in Gmail and click on “N connected sites” and there should be the option to add Tumblr. (It may take some time for it to show up, but be patient.)
